Why Mexico for your Honeymoon

Acapulco, Cozumel and Tulum are just three of the beaches that attract honeymooners to Mexico for sun, sea and sand. The coastlines of Mexico are spectacular, but the history is often even more enticing. The Pyramid of the Sun (and its smaller neighbour, the Pyramid of the Moon) are sights not to be missed on your honeymoon. As you celebrate your marriage, walk hand in hand around Fundidora Park within the grounds of an old foundry, complete with original structures. The grounds include an ice rink, an arena and many walking trails to stroll along.

Mexico Activities & Attractions

Mexican restaurants are not to be missed on your honeymoon, with authentic fajitas, tacos and burritos being favourites for tourists to try. Between meals, you’ll find so many things to see and do with that special someone.

A few ideas for your Mexico honeymoon:

• Visit the uninhabited Marieta Islands, located just off the coast. The islands feature a ‘hidden beach’, which was apparently created by a bomb and can be accessed only by swimming through a tunnel to the sheltered sands within. The beach is known as the Beach of Love.
• Go scuba diving together in Cenote Dos Ochos, with its underwater cave system which opens out into a bat cave.
• Walk the Santa Lucia Riverwalk through Monterrey. Paseo Santa Lucia is just over 1.5 miles long and has fountains and palm trees along it. It’s also beautifully lit for romantic evening strolls.
